Minisprint May 2024: Fashion & Furniture Leavning No One Behind

At DTU Skylab Minisprint you will work side by side with 12 young entrepreneurs from Egypt and fellow students from different study lines from both DTU and The Royal Danish Academy. In a fun and playful way, you will apply DTU Skylab design tools & methods and together tackle the challenge of how we can design fashion and furniture in a socially responsible way.

This Minisprint is carried out in collaboration with the Danish Egyptian Dialogue Initiative and DTU Skylabs flagship programme Technology Leaving No One Behind and is uniquely tailored with both classic innovation tools and inclusive design tools.

The event takes place:

  • Wednesday May 15th 9-16:30
  • DTU Skylab, Centrifugevej 374, 2800 Kongens Lyngby

The event is open to DTU students and the Royal Danish Academy across all departments and study lines. There is no specific knowledge required, however you must bring motivation and curiosity to work innovatively with the case in an interdisciplinary team.

Students are admitted to the event based on a first-come, first-served basis, with consideration given to the description of your motivation to participate. This ensures alignment between the program and your background and motivation. There are 8 spots available for students.

Program

You’ll be divided into teams of 4-6 people existing of both students from across disciplines and entrepreneurs. Each team will work on a case related to fashion and furniture.

Tentative program:

  • Introduction
  • Define the problem
  • Lunch
  • Develop a solution
  • Low fidelity prototyping
  • Pitch and presentation

Food is served for free throughout the day.
