Explore research related to design methods, design games, boundary objects, and Universal Design. Develop novel ways to use an established tool, the Ability Prompt Cards, to create a more inclusive society.
Technology is often designed for people without any disabilities or impairments, thus leaving out a large part of the population from using it, and not creating equal access.
Universal Design is a mindset that creates inclusive, accessible solutions usable by all people, no matter their abilities, gender, ethnicity, age, or cultural background. At DTU Skylab, we have created the Ability Prompt Cards as a tool for Universal Design, and we are using them in workshops and courses.
Develop novel ways to use the Ability Prompt Cards that support the mindset of Universal Design. You may choose to explore research relating to design methods, design games, boundary objects, and Universal Design and how to use games, cards, and workshop methods in development work.
