Are you working on a deep-tech idea—even just a prototype—with the potential to make a positive societal impact? Whether you’re a DTU student, researcher, or recent graduate (within one year of graduation), now is your chance to bring your vision to life.
What Is Skylab Funding?
Skylab Funding is DTU Skylab’s biannual soft‑funding programme designed to help early-stage ventures develop prototypes, explore markets, and accelerate innovation.

Grant support: 15,000 DKK – 150,000 DKK

Languages accepted: English and Danish

Why Apply?
We’re here to fund the bold and the brilliant. You’ll gain access to essential resources that enable:

Prototyping essentials: materials, testing, rental tools, specialised hardware/software

External resources: consultants, manufacturers, travel, conferences

No CVR needed upfront: but if you’re selected, be prepared to establish a Danish business bank account and CVR number
Who Can Apply?
Your team must include at least one DTU student, researcher, or recent graduate (within one year). Named founders only—sorry, applications on behalf of others won’t be accepted .
How Are Applications Evaluated?
Your idea will be judged on four key criteria:

Novelty: Is it genuinely different?

Impact: Does it serve society and align with sustainable or universal design principles?

Feasibility: Can it be built and commercialised?

Diversity: Does your team represent a mix of skills and perspectives?
Following Skylab’s initial scoring, the funding partners (like Bevica Fonden, BioInnovation Institute, Christian Nielsens Fond, and others) will make the final call based on alignment with their thematic priorities .
