OpenInnovation: Copenhagen’s Flagship Student Innovation Challenge

OpenInnovation brings together 120 students from across universities, innovation experts, and industry representatives to create sustainable change.

More than just a classic case competition, OpenInnovation is a hands-on Innovation Sprint. Team members combine their diverse skills to develop open, innovative ideas that address real sustainability challenges presented by industry partners. Through collaboration, exploration, and creativity, new concepts come to life during the weekend.

The program culminates in the finals and concludes with a celebratory finale. In total, the program spans four days.

Who is behind it?

OpenInnovation represents a collaborative effort between the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), the University of Copenhagen (KU), and Copenhagen Business School (CBS). It is driven by a dynamic partnership between DTU Skylab, Copenhagen School of Entrepreneurship, and KU Actory.

Who can join?

Students from all Danish higher education institutions are welcome to join the event as participants, whereas businesses and organizations can connect as partners.
