Skylab Open-Door Startup Session

The Open-Door session is an accessible and informal way to receive feedback, sparring, and inspiration from experienced startup coaches. Whether you’re exploring the idea of starting a business, refining an early-stage concept, or working within an established team, this session is open to you at any stage of your journey. 

It is available to all DTU students, researchers, and DTU-affiliated projects, offering personal guidance on how to move forward and engage with Skylab. Participating in an Open-Door session—either separately or in connection with our "In-Flight Session"—is a prerequisite for applying to Skylab’s startup programs. 

This is a one- to two-hour open session held in a shared space with tables where you can meet with startup coaches. Those who sign up in advance will have priority access. 

To make the most of the session, you are encouraged to come prepared with questions and a clear idea of what you want to gain—whether it’s inspiration to start a business, specific advice on a business challenge, feedback on an idea, or guidance on Skylab’s programs and funding opportunities. The conversations are personal and discussion-based rather than pitch-oriented. 

By the end of the session, you will have: 

• Concrete feedback on your idea, business concept, or ambitions 
• Access to and knowledge of effective ideation and idea evaluation tools 
• A clear overview of relevant Skylab offerings 
• Insights into what is required to join Skylab startup programs
