Why join?

  • Gain insight into the current practices of Denmark's largest international NGO in their pioneering work within climate adaptation
  • Get hands-on with data, aggregate, visualize, and think differently about the use of these data to drive impactful climate decisions
  • Co-develop bold solutions and concepts for tools, products and services with mentors and field experts
  • Showcase your ideas to the by-invitation-only participants at the Global Event 2020 on Climate Change on OCT 21st
  • Combine your passion and education with impact by taking the ideas further than the hack with partners
  • Connect and work with likeminded students of various backgrounds during a day of intense work, steep learning, feedback from a high-level panel, and guided through the process, providing you with the energy needed throughout the day
  • Compete to win Best Pitch, Global Event audience favorite and the opportunity to visit and present at Danish Refugee Council headquarters

We do not expect you to join with a team or solution to the challenge. We help form or boost the teams and give you time to deep dive into the challenge during the hack. In case you already have teams members joining, then we ask all of you to sign up individually.

By signing up you commit to:

  • Attend the full program on October 16th from 9.00 – 21.00 CEST at DTU Skylab (what else to use your holiday week 42 on!?)
  • Submit a 3 minutes video pitch of your idea (as a team) by latest Mon 26 OCT 16:00 CEST  (guidelines will be provided)
  • Having one or several members of your team joining (virtually) the DRC Global Event 2020 on Climate Change 25 NOV 12.00-13.00 where the best solutions are announced
  • Comply and follow the current COVID-19 guidelines

Note: We will make sure that the program and locations comply with the governmental COVID-19 regulations applicable at the time.
