DTU Skylab becomes part of scale up programme for start-ups in Europe

Start-up incubators play a significant role in helping start-ups in Europe to scale up. An Incubator is a set-up to reduce the chances of failure of an early stage start-up and they have a deep impact on start-up ecosystem and its stakeholders. Although incubators have an increasingly important role in supporting early stage companies with the basic needs of developing a company, they are consistently failing to provide services that are needed for companies to go global and scale up.
Following the support and initiative by European Commission, Scale-up Champions aims to connect different European deep-tech startup ecosystems and support cross-border activities to standardize the growth routes in Europe. Scale-up Champions aims to create a standard of scale-up service provision for European incubators that could be widely used among all incubators even after the lifetime of the project.
In order to solve the abovementioned problems, Scale-up Champions has set the long-term strategic objective to scale up innovative businesses across the EU and help star-ups achieve market success. The project runs until November 2021.
