Building Flavor in Plant-Based Foods
FoodLab Bites: Building Flavour in Plant-Based Foods
We all know that the future of food is plant-based, but how can we make these products truly craveable? As the need for sustainable protein grows, flavour remains one of the biggest barriers to broader consumer acceptance and market success.
Join us for the very first FoodLab Bites event at DTU Skylab, where we’ll explore the science, creativity, and business potential behind flavour innovation in plant-based foods.
Hosted by DTU Skylab FoodLab, this new event series brings together interdisciplinary students, startups, and food system stakeholders to uncover real challenges in the food industry and turn them into opportunities for innovation.
Each session will spotlight a key topic. Starting with how to build umami and flavour complexity in plant-based foods through fermentation, biosolutions, and culinary design.
